"Reuse the Past, Recycle the Present, Save the Future"
Our Plans
Organized Disposal of Trash
We will advocate the correct collection and disposal of trash in garbage bins moving forward. Installing waste bins with three compartments—one for trash, one for papers, and one for recyclables—is what we propose. School clubs of Diamond Bar High School frequently offer their assistance with recycling. Therefore, we could work with these clubs to achieve proper waste management.
Reduce Food Waste
In hopes to aim for our goal of reducing food waste, there are two methods that we have in mind. Donating excess plastic-wrapped dishes and increasing share baskets would help us lower the accumulation of waste from our lunch meals, while also contributing back to the communities around us with our donated food items.

Our Vision
In an effort to improve the world, Operation ReLeaf works to manage and reroute waste generated on campus, and to influence students' attitudes toward environmental protection. Our project aims to demonstrate how environmentalism can be practiced on a campus-sized scale and inspire the next generation to be environmental leaders. We wish to redirect this waste in a sustainable and eco-friendly fashion with a few methods in mind.
Initiatives we could take are presenting to classes around campus about our project in a way akin to how AP Government speaks about registering voters, applying for grants and donations to pay for the installation of specialized trash cans, providing incentives for picking up trash and reducing food waste, and reaching out to young kids in middle schools and elementary schools.
Through this program, students will have the opportunity to make a difference without much effort thanks to Operation ReLeaf's collection of trash tailored to the habits of Diamond Bar High School students. By participating in Operation ReLeaf, students can contribute to the beautification of their school and community while also learning about environmentally responsible behavior. Our project is designed to be convenient for students, making it easy for them to take small but impactful steps towards a greener future.
